Town of Grand Coulee

Are you interested in making a difference in your community and learning how local government works? The Town of Grand Coulee is seeking applications for a Youth Member of Council.

This is a unique opportunity for a young resident to participate in municipal government, represent the perspectives of local youth, and contribute to discussions that help shape the future of our community.

Position Overview

As a Youth Member of Council, you will:

• Attend monthly Town Council meetings
• Learn about the roles and responsibilities of municipal government
• Represent the voice and interests of Grand Coulee youth
• Participate in discussions on important community issues
• Gain valuable leadership, communication, and civic engagement experience
• Help influence decisions and policies that affect local residents

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

• Reside in Grand Coulee
• Be under 18 years of age at the time of application
• Be currently enrolled in high school
• Submit a completed Application Form to the Town Office

Term & Selection Process

• Applications are accepted throughout the year.
• The successful candidate will be selected annually in September.

Bursary

In recognition of their service, each Youth Member of Council will be eligible to receive a $500 bursary, subject to applicable conditions and Council approval.
