Youth Member of Council

We are excited to invite our community’s youth to join us at the Council table.

As a youth member of Council, you will take part in the monthly Town Council meetings, gain an understanding of how municipal government works, represent the voice of Grand Coulee’s youth on a number of important topics, and help shape your community.

Applications are available throughout the year, and the successful candidate is selected in September each year.

Town Council and staff appreciate your interest in this initiative and we look forward to educating the next generation of young leaders on policies and decisions that affect them.

To join us at the Council table you must:

• Live in Grand Coulee
• Be less than 18 years old at time of application
• Enrolled in high school
• Submit a completed Application Form to the Town Office

In recognition of their role as a Youth Member of Council, each member will be granted a $500 bursary for each term served (subject to conditions and approval).
