Mayor's Message
Nestled in the heart of Saskatchewan, Grand Coulee is a hidden gem that offers a perfect blend of small-town charm, yet stones throw from modern amenities. Grand Coulee is not just a place to live but a place to thrive. From stunning sunrises and sunsets that paint the sky in hues of orange and pink to the beautiful canola and wheat fields that surround us in the summer. Our community is known for its friendly residents who are always ready to lend a helping hand. Our towns vision is to grow responsibly by ensuring that new development opportunities benefit the economic, social and environmental life of Grand Coulee while maintaining the culture that is woven into the fabric of our community. Grand Coulee has 5 dedicated staff that see to it that our community is in great shape both financially and physically. The addition of a recreation coordinator has allowed our community to draw from available grants to build infrastructure as well as host creative and wellness events that appeal to all members of the community including art, sports nights, bingos and yoga. Most importantly are the volunteers that support town events such as the Hoe Down every fall. For many years this event has been a pillar of our community, and I am proud that our community has kept the tradition alive honoring volunteers of the past, community and our future together. At the heart of Grand Coulee, our Council and Administration are dedicated to representing every resident and making decisions that benefit our entire community. My vision is to foster a council united by respect, collaboration and transparency. Together, we aim to make timely and impactful decisions on key issues that matter to all of us, such as improving our roads and enhancing our drainage systems. Imagine a future where our streets are smooth and well maintained, and our drainage system efficiently protects our homes from flood. This is the future we are working towards, and with your support we can achieve it. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns or ideas you might have. Your Council and Administration is here to work with you.
