RR 2212 Closing Sept 3 & 4 & 5
RR 2212 Road Closure & Resurfacing
*Update Due to weather, roadwork is expected to continue on Saturday Sept 5. The road will remain closed until roadwork is completed.
Please be advised that road work is being completed on RR 2212 between Dewdney and Grand Coulee.
The road closure for resurfacing has been moved ahead of schedule and will take place September 3 and 4.
Grading will be taking place today, September 2, so residents are encouraged to avoid this section of RR 2212 if possible while the work is underway.
The resurfacing will include the application of SB90, with the completed road surface being approximately 10 metres wide—wider than the previous surface.
Please plan an alternate route and allow additional time for travel while this work is being completed.

RR 2212 update
Please be advised that RR 2212 between Dewdney Avenue and the railroad tracks will be closed beginning September 15 to allow the RM to complete road resurfacing.
Free Office Chairs
The town has some well used office chairs up for grabs. Contact the Office if you would like one. The chairs are free to whomever comes to get them first.

In response to this need, The Town of Grand Coulee has chosen Voyent Alert! as the communication service provider for these kinds of events.
Voyent Alert! is a multi-purpose communication service used to send alerts to residents, businesses, and visitors during critical events like fires or floods as well as for relevant day-to-day communications such as snow removal advisories, planned maintenance, water advisories, etc. Click on the title for further information!
RR 2212 Update
RR 2212 is once again open for travel as a gravel road. Resurfacing will be taking place in a couple of weeks which will require another closure. Dates will be provided when they are known.

Water Service Update!!!
We would like to thank residents for their patience and apologize for the recent water service interruptions.
At this time, there should be no further interruptions to your water service.
The hydrant flushing process identified an issue within the water treatment plant's electrical system that caused a malfunction when the secondary pump was called upon to maintain water pressure. While we regret the inconvenience, discovering this issue during routine operations is a positive outcome.
Identifying and addressing the problem now helps ensure our water system is reliable when it is needed most—particularly in the event of a fire or other emergency where maintaining water pressure is critical.
Thank you for your understanding as we work to keep our water system safe, reliable, and ready to serve our community.
A Win-Win-Win for Grand Coulee!
You may have noticed crews using our hydrants to fill water trucks over the past little while. We wanted to share why this is happening—and why it's a great outcome for our community.
The water is being used by contractors to assist with road work on Township Road 2212. Not only are they paying the Town for the water they use, but by coordinating truck filling with our scheduled hydrant flushing, we're able to accomplish two important tasks at the same time.
Here's why it's a win for everyone:
Hydrant flushing is completed efficiently as part of our regular water system maintenance.
The Town receives revenue from the water being used by the contractor.
Residents benefit directly, as the water is helping improve and maintain a road that many of our residents travel regularly.
It's always rewarding when we can find practical solutions that maximize value for our community. The trucks take about 30 minutes to fill, so service interruptions should not last longer than that. We appreciate your patience.
